My version of Hasselback Potatoes!

I once saw Nigella Lawson on an episode of Oprah! She made a very interesting dish of potatoes and that got me curious! I ran into my kitchen and followed whatever part of the recipe I could remember. As opposed to my expectations they did not turn out as amazing as I thought they would. So next time round I played with the recipe and added my personal touch to it! Result was a very pleasing looking and absolutely delicious platter of potatoes! So go ahead and try them out for dinner tonight as the perfect side dish!

Ingredients
Potatoes( medium sized and preferably oval in shape) 10-12
Butter. 2tsp
Olive oil. 2tsp
Garlic paste. 2tsp
Salt. To taste
Paprika/red chilli powder-to taste
Black pepper powder. 1 tsp

How to make it
Thoroughly wash and dry the potatoes. Then take a wooden spoon and put one potato in the spoon’s curve. Take a sharp knife and cut through the potato vertically down at regular intervals. ( spacing should be approximately 2-3mm) cut all the potatoes and keep aside.(PS: the potatoes will be sliced but not till the very bottom, they will be intact at the base)

Bake at 200° centigrade for 45-50 minutes or until the potatoes are crisp and golden brown.
Serve hot as a side dish, or as a replacement for chips.
