I first had these potatoes at our hotel in Jaipur. They were served in breakfast with bread rolls. They are juicy, crispy and spicy all at the same time!
I tried to recreate the taste from those potatoes, and came up with something everyone just loved.
Yet again, a simple recipe and can be prepared in advance to mix it up in a jiffy!
Serve with your bread, or as a snack! Perfect!
1/2 kg potatoes cut into french fries
1 tsp chilli sauce
1/2 tsp soya sauce
2 tsp cornflour
Oil for frying
1 tsp oil
1 1/2tsp minced garlic
1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
Salt to taste
1 1/2 tbsp honey
1 tsp Chilli sauce
2 tbsp Chopped spring onions greens
How to make it
Marinate the fries in the chilli sauce, soy sauce and the cornflour. Keep aside for 10 minutes. Deep fry till cooked. Drain on kitchen paper. You can fry these in advance and keep them in the refrigerator.
Heat oil in a wide fry pan, add the garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds. Add the chilli sauce and the fries. Toss well. Drizzle the honey over it, toss again! Sprinkle the salt & sesame seeds. Serve immediately garnished with the spring onions.
